Surface Lab Art launches an exhibition by Buryat artist Viktor Erdyneev «The trail of a beast.» The art space supports Russian artist, working in various media, and creates projects on the verge of architecture, design and contemporary art. The project is curated by the founder of Art Visioner, art collector and art historian Ekaterina Charkina.
At the centre of Erdyneev’s sculptures — connection of the animal with its habitat, its fears, feelings and hopes. Images, depicted by the artist, reflect the animal’s inner world, depth of its emotions and feelings. Works on display at Surface Lab Art is a travel through the sculptor’s art space. The viewer moves from one element to another, discovering animals’ inner world. These feelings are understandable and clear, as there are no borders between the world of nature and the world of a human being in Erdyneev’s artistic world. Each animal leaves an inimitable trace not only on the surface of the natural environment it comes from, but also in our consciousness.
